Arab American National Museum “docent” missing in Peru
Officials of the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan said they are alarmed and concerned about the disappearance of Carla Valpeoz, 35, who has worked at the nation’s only Arab museum as a museum guide and lecturer since 2015.
Valpeoz was reported missing on December 11, 2018 while visiting Peru’s famous Machu Picchu archeological ruins. She is described as am experienced traveler. Officials noted that Valpeoz is legally blind losing her eyesight since she was a child and requires a cane to navigate.
AANM officials released an email raising awareness in the community for Valpeoz’s status.
