President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, who each held separate press conferences yesterday to denounce the ISIS (ISIL) murder of James Foley this week in Syria-Iraq, said nothing today following the Israeli massacre of 18 more civilians in the Gaza Strip during another war crimes assault on the Palestinian area.
Obama and Kerry basically are saying that morality has an ethnic and racial identity and if you are not of a certain race, or fighting a certain enemy, your life is valueless.
The Israeli airstrike on Gaza City targeted civilian homes, buildings and businesses and killed five Palestinians including three children Thursday morning.
Ashraf al-Qidra, Gaza’s ministry of health spokesman, identified one of the victims as Nasr Ziad al-Rifi, 35. Four other civilians were seriously wounded.
The latest fatalities bring the death toll in Gaza to 18 since midnight, officials said.
Earlier, Israel killed three senior Hamas military commanders and nine civilians in airstrikes across Gaza. And earlier this week, Israel targeted and murdered the wife and child of another alleged Hamas militant while they were sleeping in their home.
Over 2,065 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched a military offensive in July with the vast majority, more than 1,800, estimated to be babies, children, teenagers, women, and old people.
Palestinians have charged that Israel is intentionally targeting civilian areas in order to push the Palestinians to flee Gaza or at least relocate further south so they will be further from Israel’s border.
