Civil rights activists from around the country are targeting a convention being held by RE/MAX Realty in Las Vegas beginning March 2 to protest their ongoing support of illegal Jewish-only settlements in occupied Palestine that discriminate against Christians and Muslims.
The annual convention will bring RE/MAX representatives from around the world to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas March 2 through March 6, 2015. The keynote speaker is NFL MVP Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos with performances planned by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
RE/MAX, which was founded by Dave and Gail Liniger in 1973, buys and sells homes in the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. The settlements are built on lands taken by military force from Christian Arabs and Muslims in Palestine.
Many critics have called RE/MAX “anti-Christian” for supporting Israel’s policies which discriminate against Christians and Muslims.
An online petition drive to convince Tyler to cancel his scheduled performance at the RE/MAX convention has drawn more than 9,700 signatures and will easily meet its goal of 10,000. Click here to view petition.

Some protestors were also urging Manning to cancel his appearance, too.
Here is the press release that RE/MAX published on its website about the upcoming convention that is expected to attract hundreds of civil rights protestors.
Peyton Manning to Headline RE/MAX R4
NFL’s Top Player Will Inspire, Motivate at Annual Event
October 07, 2014
Thousands of RE/MAX agents will have the rare opportunity to hear from one of the NFL’s top players at the annual RE/MAX R4 Convention in Las Vegas March 2 – 5, 2015. Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, the league’s only five-time MVP and a 13-time Pro Bowler, will be the event’s keynote speaker. Manning’s story of hard work and success will inspire and motivate his audience.
“Peyton is in high demand as a speaker and we’re thrilled that he accepted our invitation to speak at R4,” said RE/MAX, LLC CEO Margaret Kelly. “His story of success on the football field, and his determination to overcome what could have been a career-ending injury, is something that will no doubt be one of the highlights of the convention.”
The 2015 RE/MAX R4 will also feature Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Steven Tyler, lead singer for Aerosmith. Tyler has been a rock icon since the 1970’s, and has also taken on film and TV roles and authored a bestselling book. He’s included among Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Singers and has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The conference will bring RE/MAX Broker/Owners and agents from all over the world to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The event features educational and networking sessions, designed to update attendees on current real estate industry trends and technology. They’ll also celebrate the company’s 42nd anniversary.
