Time to Control Israel’s Nuclear Hypocrisies

Israel is doing everything it can to undermine any deal on nuclear energy with Iran, not to make the world safer but to preserve its hegemony in the world. Conflict is the engine that sustains and drives today’s Israel, which is governed by extremists and fanatics who thrive in conflict

By Ray Hanania

RayHanania03-2015NameThmbOnly one Middle Eastern nation has nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction, and that country is Israel, one of the world’s greatest ironies.

Israel’s extremist anti-peace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is against anything that will lift sanctions on Iran, and he is leading the battle to keep it isolated.

After months of hard work, Obama and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have worked out a deal that will allow international oversight of Iran’s nuclear program, allowing Iran to have nuclear energy but not nuclear weapons.

Using its bought-and-paid-for lapdogs in the U.S. Congress, Netanyahu is bashing Obama and the deal, making wild claims that the deal will help Iran build a nuclear bomb and will undermine the peace in the region.

Netanyahu wants the deal scrapped, but he is also demanding that a deal include Iran’s recognition of Israel as a Jewish State, something Iran is not going to do.

Netanyahu’s campaign is laughable. Unfortunately, in a world where Israel controls both the U.S. Congress and the major mainstream news media through bullying and intimidation, his ridiculous claims are given merit where they have none.

There is only one nation in the Middle East that has nuclear weapons, and that is Israel. And Israel’ nuclear armed arsenal has no international oversight. No one is allowed to inspect Israel’s nuclear weapons, most of which are aimed at nearly every major Arab city.

And while Netanyahu demands that Iran recognize Israel, Netanyahu and Israel have refused to recognize Palestine as a sovereign state.

It’s really blatant hypocrisy, which is the essence of everything that Israel is about. Hypocrisy is the foundation of Israel and its policies.

Israel doesn’t want Iran to work toward building a nuclear weapon, but Israel already has more than 250 armed nuclear warheads aimed at major Arab and regional cities.

Israel demands that Iran recognize it’s sovereignty over Palestine as a Jewish State, but refuses to recognize the rights of Christians and Muslims who live under its occupation to have a state of their own.

Israel whines that it is the victim of media bias, but the reality is that Israel not only owns the mainstream American news media but many of its most active supporters are editors, journalists and columnists at the leading media outlets covering these issues.

It’s unethical, of course, for a journalist to cover something with which they share a personal subjective affinity in almost every possible situation, except when it comes to Israel.

Israel complains about Arab violence against its citizens, but is silent about its own violence against non-Jewish civilians in Israel and those living under occupation in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

And Israel is pandering to the rightwing Christian evangelist movement, while being the leading oppressors of Christians living in the Holy Land.

There used to be one reporter who often asked American presidents how they could justify pressuring Iran to end its nuclear program, which has no weapons, but never once addressing Israel’s nuclear program, which has more than 250. But the pro-Israel movement brutally silenced Helen Thomas, one of the few American Arab journalists working at the national level challenging Israel’s political lies and propaganda, accusing her of saying things she never said.

In the past several years, delegations of American Congress members have traveled to Israel, making powerful statements about how American Christians support Israel, but never once saying how American Christians support Arab Christians, because they don’t. Few of the Israeli bought-and-paid-for congress members ever visit Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, or inquire about how Israel is confiscating the lands of Christians around Bethlehem.

The most recent trip is being led by House Speaker John Boehner, who has given Netanyahu, a foreign leader, more respect and cooperation than he has given Obama, the actual president of the United States.

What Boehner, his colleagues in Congress, the Evangelical movement and the pro-Israel mainstream American news media are really doing is setting up a scenario where Israel will be destroyed.

They are guaranteeing that Israel will not exist 60 years from now by shielding Israel from accountability on issues like its massive nuclear weapons program or its brutality against Christian civilians and Muslims, too.

What they are doing is ensuring that there will be continued conflict, driven by victims of Israel’s oppression who demand justice but see that the only way to get justice is to engage in violent actions of vengeance, retaliation and even terrorism.

Boehner says Israel is the frontline against Islamic extremism, but in fact Israel’s policies are making Islamic extremism that much more powerful.

Like Chelsea Manning (currently serving 35 yrs), Vanunu was imprisoned for exposing state lies. Nothing is more dangerous to a terrorist state than a person speaking the truth. The greatest crime in a criminal state is honesty.

Putting an END to Israel’s Nuclear DECEPTIONS would happen in a flash with a FREE Vanunu. Without USA collusion in Israel’s Nuclear DECEPTIONS and Occupation of Palestine neither would exist!
