Badly needed supplies are being held and delayed by Israel at the borders of the Gaza Strip despite the pledges of international donor nations to help the besieged civilians brutalized by Israeli occupation

The distribution of the only cement to enter the Gaza Strip last month, estimated at 440 tons, has began for owners of 895 homes out of the more than 41,000 either destroyed or partially destroyed during Israel’s war crime targeting of civilians this past summer.

Observers say the amount of cement is not nearly enough for the reconstruction process as some affected received only one bag of cement. That’s the amount of cement which was allowed into Gaza through the Israeli-controlled crossing points between Israel and the enclave.

The cement was delivered in coordination with the United Nations on 10 October, during the visit of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, to show good faith and seriousness of the United Nations for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The Israelis delayed the delivery of the cement more than 20 days and that has caused grumbling among Palestinians who are riding a growing wave of discontent against the international institutions. Many of the international institutions who claimed they would help have not done so.

Palestinians groups are planning protests targeting these donor nation’s that pledged billions in support to rebuild the civilian neighborhoods destroyed by Israel’s brutal military which surrounds and oppresses the people of the Gaza Strip. The protests are also intended to put pressure on Israel to allow supplies required to rebuild Gaza to pass through their security blockade that surrounds Gaza creating an open-air prison.

The photo spread below shows different scenes of the devastation and destruction caused by Israeli military war crimes this past summer of 2014 which resulted in the mass murder of more than 2,000 civilians including more than 500 babies, infants and young children. The massacre of human life was a holocaust of inhumanity driven by Israeli civil rights violations, murder and conflict.
