This September 28^th Trevor Noah’s “ass” will occupy Jon Stewart’s “same chair.”

The 31-year-old South African said, “I didn’t live a normal life – I grew up in a country that wasn’t normal.”

Trevor Noah grew up in Soweto, the son of a black Xhosa mother and a white Swiss father—an illegal union during that apartheid era.

By the time Trevor Noah was performing stand-up in his 20s, he had long been taught “speaking freely about anything [as a person of color] was considered treason.”

 

Comedy Central’s president, Michele Ganeless said in an interview with The New York Times:

He brings such a unique worldview and a deep understanding of human nature, which makes his comedy so insightful. He’s truly a student of the world.

We talked to women. We talked to men. We found in Trevor the best person for the job. You don’t hope to find the next Jon Stewart – there is no next Jon Stewart. So, our goal was to find someone who brings something really exciting and new and different.

 

 

 

  What would be  really exciting and new and different  would be for THE MEDIA to talk about Apartheid Israeli style, USA collusion in Israel’s Nuclear Deceptions and Mordechai Vanunu’s 8th Petition to Israel’s High Court seeking an end to the eleven years of restrictions [on top of 18 years in jail] that have denied his right to leave ‘the only democracy in the Middle East.’
