Arab American Democratic Club to host candidates brunch Feb. 18, 2024
The Arab American Democratic Club (AADC) will host its pre-election Candidate’s Forum & Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2023, from 10 am until 2 PM.
The annual event gives candidates the opportunity to showcase their issues and reenforce their ties to the growing Arab American Community in the Chicagoland area.
The Arab American Democratic Club (AADC) is the largest grassroots Arab American organization in Northern Illinois, which has a population of more than 450,000 to 600,000 Arab American voters.
Arab Americans are not include in the US Census and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) category does not break out Arabs from their broad list of ethnic and religious groups from the region, so a precise number of the Arab American population is impossible to define.
The MENA category does little to clearly define the Arab American community.
However, the AADC pre-election brunch attracts more than 400 Arab Americans and dozens of candidates and elected officials.
All candidates of all party affiliations are invited to participate. Candidates will nto be judged by political party any longer but by their commitment to support the civil rights and election rights of Arab Americans.
