Palestinians show solidarity with Burma

Brutality in Burma against Muslims continues and Palestinians int he Gaza Strip, who identify with the suffering of people in other countries, urged world action to protect civilians in Burma.

The failure of world leaders to speak out against atrocities committed against Muslims in Burma has outraged many Palestinians who stand in solidarity with people who oppressed throughout the world.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been under a brutal Israeli military embargoed and terrorist assault since Israel withdrew its illegal settlers and military forces in 2005 to the borders of the tiny coastal strip along the Mediterranean sea.

Israel has killed thousands of civilians since the redeployment of its forces and has imposed a smothering embargo that controls every aspect of life for many Palestinians.

Yet despite their own suffering and challenges against the brutality of Israeli military violence, constant rocket assault and fighter jet attacks, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip expressed their support for civilians in Burma who have been targeted.

More than 2,000 Burmese civilians, mostly Muslims, have been murdered during the past year.
