Donald Trump has been criticized for calling for bans on Muslim and Hispanic immigration, but Arab Christians and Middle East Christians like Chaldeans are connecting with Trump because of his “tough” policies against radicalism and religions extremism, on Arab Radio

By Ray Hanania

Donald Trump has been criticized for calling for bans on Muslim and Hispanic immigration, but Arab Christians and Middle East Christians like Chaldeans are connecting with Trump because of his “tough” policies against radicalism and religions extremism.

Arab Christian and Chaldean callers to the Arab Radio Show “TheDailyHookah.com” said they prefer Donald Trump as the candidate who best represents their views over most others, although Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders received significant support.

Callers filled up phone lines Friday morning and nearly a dozen made it on the air to talk about their preferences.

Many callers simply noted their preferences to the radio show but did not want to speak on air, and many others texted their views to the radio show, which was broadcast Friday morning at 8 am EST in Detroit on WNZK AM 690 radio and in Washington D.C. on AM 700 radio.

The tally was a clear show of support from Arab Christians and Chaldeans for Donald Trump who won the New Hampshire Primary election and has vowed to bring a tough leadership to address problems and faults in this country.

Many Arabs said they believe Trump can resolve the Middle East crisis and more importantly be more effective in standing up to Islamic radicalism from ISIS, Daesh and al-Qaeda.

Trump and Sanders swept the New Hampshire primaries last week.

Among the callers, 70 percent favored Republican Donald Trump, 20 percent favor Democrat Bernie Sanders, and 10 percent said they favored Trump’s Republican rival Ted Cruz.

Callers said they did not care if Sanders is Jewish and that his religion is “irrelevant.” What they said they liked was Sanders’ honesty.

Several criticized Hillary Clinton as being “too weak” and others dismissed Trump’s challengers as “politicians” who will say anything to get elected.

“I don’t agree with everything Trump says,” one caller said, “But I know he will be tough against terrorism.”

Here is the radio podcast:

#ArabVoters #President @DonaldTrump Bernie Sanders Arab Radio this morning: How Arabs will vote in the upcoming presidential election. Christian Arabs support Trump, Bernie Sanders and even Ted Cruz … Trump: 70 percent of the callers; Sanders 20 percent of the callers; Cruz 10 percent of the callers.

How Arabs and Muslims get misled into confronting the wrong political issues: They are actively fighting against Trump, and doing NOTHING about Marco Rubio, a racist anti-Arab hater. This statement is the most pernicious, racist comment far worse than Trump saying he’ll temporarily block Muslim immigration into America. Rubio: “The front-runner in this race, Donald Trump, has said he’s not going to take sides on Israel versus the Palestinians because he wants to be an honest broker,” Rubio said. “Well, there is no such thing as an honest broker in that. Because the Palestinian Authority, which has strong links to terror, they teach little kids that it’s a glorious thing to kill Jews.” http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/shift-marco-rubio-attacks-donald-trump-name-ahead-debate-n525341
