Microsoft worker of 9 years resigns in protest via mass video to tens of thousands of workers
Supports Palestine Solidarity event at Microsoft Dublin Campus, “No Azure for Apartheid,” in support of Palestinian rights
Dublin, Ireland – Earlier today, (Wednesday, October 15, 2025) Zille Eizad, a Principle Software Engineer who has been with Microsoft for 9 years, resigned in protest, internally distributing a video announcement of his resignation to tens of thousands of workers.
Shortly afterwards, No Azure for Apartheid and Your Tech Their Deaths held a Palestine solidarity event on the Microsoft Dublin campus in Leopardstown.
At approximately 3:45 PM Irish time, Eizad announced his resignation from Microsoft in a mass video distributed across multiple internal channels reaching tens of thousands of Microsoft workers across the globe.
In the video resignation, Eizad says, “I made the decision to leave Microsoft because of its complicity in the genocide in Gaza and the long standing and ongoing occupation and colonization of Palestine by Israel. For a long time, perhaps naively, I believed in Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. I never thought that empowering genocide and apartheid was included in that mission.”

At the Palestine solidarity event, No Azure for Apartheid and Your Tech Their Deaths members delivered speeches calling on tech workers to organize against Big Tech complicity in genocide and in support of Palestine and their colleague’s protest resignation. Jimi Cullen, a musician, performed the song “We are all Palestinians.” Microsoft Security locked down the Microsoft buildings as the event progressed.
Your Tech Their Deaths is a Palestine advocacy group focusing on holding Big Tech in Ireland accountable for its role in the Israeli occupation and genocide in Palestine.
