Overview of the Israeli Palestinian Comedy Tour

The Israeli Palestinian Comedy Tour was co-founded by Palestinian Ray Hanania and Israeli Charley Warady. It included Jewish American comedian Aaron Freeman and Israeli comedian Yisrael Campbell.

The group performed comedy shows before live audiences throughout Israel in 2007 including in West Jerusalem, East Jerusalem, Jaffa, Hebron, Tel Aviv, and in a tour hosted by MASA at U.S. college campuses. The group performed in Dublin, Ireland, and Hanania performed in Dubai and London as a representative of the Israeli Palestinian Comedy Tour. They also performed in Austin, Texas, Des Moine Iowa, and in Canada with their biggest audience in Toronto filling the Roy Thomson Hall with more than 2,200 people.

The group also performed with other comedians including Egyptian American comedian Sherif, Muslim Bangladeshi comedian Arif Choudhury, and Ray’s Jewish son, Aaron Hanania.
