ADC launches National Network of Arab American Lawyers (NAALA)

ADC has launched a badly needed network to bring together Lawyers and legal minds to focus on the civil rights and legal rights of Arab Americans. ADC’s Network of Arab American Lawyers will fill a badly needed void in the Arab American Community.

As part of the ADC mission, our legal department is committed to providing pro bono legal assistance to the Arab American community.

In 2011 ADC launched the Network of Arab American Lawyers of ADC (NAALA). The Network has grown exponentially into a successful initiative. The objective of NAALA is to provide support to the ADC Legal Department. As ADC celebrates 40 Years of Commitment and Service to the community, we are calling on lawyers and legal professionals from across the country to join NAALA and help ADC further its mission of protecting the community.

As a member of NAALA, attorneys, law students and legal professionals will have an opportunity to organize, network, collaborate, and mentor; assist the ADC Legal Department in its endeavors to promote respect for civil liberties and human rights; and assist ADC in our efforts to grow as the premiere civil rights organization for Arab Americans.

Members of NAALA are truly engaged in the work ADC does by serving as a support network for the ADC Legal Department. NAALA members will have access to a number of events and initiatives, including networkers, panels, continuing legal education programs (CLEs), and more. The initiative offers the opportunity to connect Arab American attorneys, law students, and other legal professionals across the nation. NAALA members will be kept abreast of ADC’s legal work as well as key issues affecting the Arab American and legal communities.

ADC is also developing a Legal Resource Guide/Referral List which will include information about knowing your rights and obtaining legal assistance as well as a national listing of attorneys in the network.
