A Super Tuesday “Mordechai Vanunu Google Alert” led to the Government Accountability Project’s “Arab Daily News: Protecting The Legend of Israel’s Nuclear Whistle Blower Vanunu Mordechai, JC”

On Super Tuesday morning a Mordechai Vanunu Google Alert led to a long forgotten article of mine that was published at the Government Accountability Project website titled “Arab Daily News: Protecting The Legend of Israel’s Nuclear Whistle Blower Vanunu Mordechai, JC”

The Government Accountability Project actually published the post on June 16th, 2014|In The News; so WHY it generated a Google Alert nearly six years later made me wonder about the Government Accountability Project whose Mission Statement explains:

Founded in 1977, Government Accountability Project is the nation’s leading whistleblower protection and advocacy organization. In addition to focusing on whistleblower support in our stated program areas, we lead campaigns to enact whistleblower protection laws both domestically and internationally.

As I read the Government Accountability Project’s “Arab Daily News: Protecting The Legend of Israel’s Nuclear Whistle Blower Vanunu Mordechai, JC”, nearly six years after I wrote it; I laughed when I reached the paragraph stating:

On 10 July 2012, Vanunu emailed me: Hi. You can continue to act and do for my freedom as much as you can-no one can stop you. Freedom NOW!!! vmjc.

Reason WHY I laughed was published in Heroes, Muses and the Saga of Mordechai Vanunu

After the presidential election of Donald J. Trump, The Serenity Prayer became one of my daily mantras:

God grant me the serenityto accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

After over ten years of activism seeking to end USA collusion in Israel’s nuclear deceptions, I came to understand that Israel has nothing to gain by allowing its nuclear whistle blower his right to leave the state, as well as nothing to lose by keeping Mordechai Vanunu captive; and so I accepted —as in made peace— with another thing I cannot change!

However, when I first met Vanunu in 2005, I was so naïve to believe my reporting could actually help free Vanunu.
