Producers examining abuse of Blacks in Israel need funding
We urgently need your support. Existence is Resistance is raising funds for the filming of our new documentary Black in the Holy Land. This film will examine the lives and experiences of the various black communities throughout Palestine and the settler state of Israel.
We are almost at 25% of our goal, we have raised $2,420 through online donations. Sharing helps us raise funds by making it visible to others.
We first started filming the documentary in the summer of 2015 when we took a group of artists, students, dancers, poets, and musicians to tour the little known Black Palestinian community in Jerusalem.
The group also visited Holot Detention Center where Israel has been detaining and deporting African refugees and asylum seekers, we interviewed several Sudanese men who had traveled all the way to Israel only to be jailed for an indefinite amount of time.
In 2016 again the organization took down an amazing group of artists and journalists who visited cities like Jericho and Hebron as well as the Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem.
We will be taking a crew out again to finish the filming of this documentary. We truly need your support in order for us to actually be able to finish and contribute to the communities and folks out in Palestine making this documentary possible.
