Arab Radio: Aftermath of November 6 election on Arab Americans

Radio host Ray Hanania will discuss the aftermath of the November 6, 2018 on Tuesday on the Arab Americans. How will the national election results impact Arab and Muslim Americans.  Who are some of the Arab American candidates who won election?

To listen to the podcast of the radio show, click this link or use the widget below.

The radio show is broadcast live on WNZK AM 690 Radio in greater Detroit on Friday morning at 8 am EST (Detroit time.) You can also listen to the radio show during the broadcast online (using one of the links below) and also download the audio podcast of the Radio Show and other individual interviews hosted by Ray Hanania from www.TheArabStreet.org or from iTunes.

We’ll look at the elections of Rashida Tlaib and Ihlam Omar as the first two Muslim American women elected to the U.S. Congress, the defeat of Palestinian-Mexican candidate Ammar Campa-Najjar in California, and the election of at least five other Arab Americans to congressional seats.

We’ll also talk about local races including the heated contest between Palestinian Muslim American Abdelnasser Rashid and Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison in the Chicago suburban 17th District. Rashid came within 1,3770 votes of unseating the Republican veteran who has become a disappointment for the Republican party because of numerous controversies and leadership failings. Rashid ran a powerful campaign and came close to unseat the weaker Morrison who won only because of allies who stood by him who he later betrayed.

Watch for Rashid in a future election contest. He has a great future.

Ray Hanania interviews the late Israeli Arab Knesset member Nadia Hilou, October 7, 2008 on Morning Radio.

You can read Ray Hanania’s columns at TheArabDailyNews.com online newspaper, at ArabNews.com and at TheDailyHookah.com … Locally in Chicagoland Hanania also writes for the Southwest News Newspaper group … every week … doing his best to upset as many people as possible.
