Sunday marked the official “adoption day” for the “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” better known as the Iran deal.
Mordechai Vanunu returns to Israel’s Supreme Court for the 8th time on Monday, October 26, appealing to end the over eleven years of restrictions denying his right to leave the State.

On Sunday the U.S. and its negotiating partners moved ahead on what has come to be known as “adoption day” — after years of negotiations between Iran, the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China, and surviving AIPAC’s influence over Congress.
“Implementation day” begins with the easing of nuclear-power-related sanctions against Iran once they prove they are obeying their side of the contract.
On October 13, the Iranian Parliament approved the motion implementing The Iran Nuclear Deal reached between Iran and the P5+1 countries in July.
Iranian Press TV, reported that the article 1 of the motion forbids either the production or application of nuclear arms in Iran and obliges the Iranian government to participate in international and regional efforts aimed at countering the threat of such weapons. Press TV, reported that on the basis of the article 1, Iran will pressure the international community to move forward with the nuclear disarming of Israel.
The United States expects Iran to complete their side of the objectives in two to six months.
On Sunday President Obama said, “We, together with our partners, must now focus on the critical work of fully implementing this comprehensive resolution…”
In Secretary of State John Kerry’s statement he noted: “I and my entire team will remain vigilant and mindful of not just how far we have come, but how much further we have to go in seeing that this deal is fully implemented,”
Iran will dismantle parts of its nuclear program, including decommissioning nearly 15,000 centrifuges, converting its Arak heavy-water reactor so that it will produce less plutonium and reducing its stockpile of enriched uranium 98%, when President Hassan Rouhani gives the order, which is expected by the end of the week.
If the U.S. and other world powers involved in the deal don’t honor their side of the pact the deal will fall apart and Iran could reinstall centrifuges within seven to eight months and build a new reactor core at Arak in about two years.
Also on October 13, Mordechai Vanunu turned 61 “waiting for Freedom Of Speech and Freedom of Movement” as he wrote at Facebook.
On Monday, October 26 Vanunu returns to Israel’s Supreme Court for the 8th time appealing for the end of the now over eleven years of restrictions that have denied his right to leave the State—after being ‘freed’ from 18 years behind bars for telling the world everything he knew as a technician on the night shift within Israel’s 7-story underground Dimona WMD facility in 1986!
Vanunu’s 8th Supreme Court date was originally scheduled for 21 September and to avoid media attention at this hot time in Jerusalem, Israel could reschedule again as they did with Vanunu’s Freedom of Speech Trial so that it would coincide with the 2006 Palestinian elections and ensure the Media would be MIA.

Vanunu has given hundreds of interviews in English but until September 2015 he had refused to speak to Israeli Media claiming “Israel is only a democracy if you are a Jew.”
Last month Vanunu was given 15 minutes on TV speaking only in Hebrew in his appeal to the Israeli public who consider him a traitor:
Vanunu was put under house arrest following that interview according to Israeli police “in defiance of the terms under which he was released in 2004.”
Despite Israel’s military censor clearing the interview for broadcast Vanunu was confined to his home without Internet or phone for 7 days of solitary confinement!

In 2012, Israel refused to allow Vanunu the right to revoke his Israeli citizenship claiming he did not have another despite the fact that he was born in Morocco.
Vanunu’s wife has filed all the necessary documents for Vanunu’s asylum to Norway and is able to support him thus fulfilling the requirements for Vanunu’s freedom to Norway.
In April 1999, thirty-six members of the US House of Representatives signed a letter calling for Mordechai Vanunu’s release from prison because they believed “we have a duty to stand up for men and women like Mordechai Vanunu who dare to articulate a brighter vision for humanity.”
President Clinton responded with a public statement expressing concern for Vanunu and the need for Israel and other non-parties to the Non-Proliferation Treaty to adhere to it and accept IAEA safeguards. Ever since the silence has been deafening;
However, the Iran Nuclear Deal and on the basis of article 1, which stipulates Iran will pressure the international community to move forward with the nuclear disarming of Israel must begin with the opening of the Dimona and lead to the end of the Occupation of Palestine!
When I last saw Vanunu in November 2013, he told me he had recently declined a CNN reporter’s request for an interview because “Everything is already on the Internet”.
