Arab American Community Events Calendar launched
The Arab Daily News is proud to announce that it has launched a national calendar of events featuring the activities of the Arab American community.
The calendar is easy to access, and you can enter your own data and information by using the form option.
One of the biggest challenges facing American Arab Christian and Muslim groups is the lack of networking and sharing of event information to help attract larger audiences and more community participation.
We urge you to promote your event as soon as possible. DO NOT WAIT until days before to publicize your event. The optimal time is at least six to eight weeks before your event is to take place.
You can add the date of the event, a title and focus for the event (a festival, church or mosque conference, an organization dinner banquet, a speech, an Arab standup comedy performance, a political or social convention, a community food drive, or anything in which your group, organization, religious institution or political committee is involved.
Don’t rely on word of mouth to publicize your events. Our calendar is indexed by Google News and reaches hundreds of thousands of viewers every day.
Additionally, you can add a photo (inside the story information, and as a “feature” photo that will be displayed in the summary of the event in our upcoming calendars on the side of the website and on the side of every page viewed on our site, and on a special interactive calendar that can be searched or viewed month-by-month.
We also urge you to write a press release to promote your event. How do you write a press release? It’s easy. Click here to get basic information. Remember, an original photo that you own and have copyright to is essential to increasing public viewing of a story.
