The Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders arrived Tuesday morning in Gaza Strip via the Israeli-controlled (Erez) Beit Hanoun crossing, only one day after Turkish and Swiss ambassadors’ visit to the Strip.
A responsible source in UNRWA affirmed to the PIC reporter that Reynders’ visit came to check on the deteriorating humanitarian conditions of the people in Gaza after Israel’s 2014 aggression. Reynders is scheduled to discuss the difficulties and challenges faced by Gaza reconstruction process, the source pointed out.
The Foreign Minister will also hold a press conference by the end of his visit in Shujayya neighborhood that was completely destroyed during the aggression.
Earlier Monday, the Swiss ambassador, Paul Garnier, and the Turkish ambassador, Mustafa Sarnic, arrived in Gaza Strip. No additional information was given about their visit.
