What’s so racist about FX TV’s Tyrant?

By Ray Hanania

(Here are just my immediate thoughts in a sarcastic Tirade about Tyrant!)

Ray Hanania

What’s racist about FX TV’s series Tyrant?

The entire show. Because you know, all us Ay-rabs are brutal dictator murderers and we go around brutally raping women because we were brutalized as sissy children by our fathers who steal everything from a country and then spend lavishly.

If you want to make a model of Saddam Hussein’s son, say it and do it. But if you want to make a “fictionalized story,” how about adding some whacko Israeli Jewish soldiers who brutalize civilians sadistically, or Israeli leaders who are fanatic killers like Ariel Sharon?

Or maybe let’s do a story about the Irish? Aren’t they are drunks and corrupt politicians, and didn’t they blow up children and old women in Ireland to get back at the British?

Or maybe focus on the Italians, all mobster gambling degenerates with no morals who brutally rape other people’s women, too?

We could stereotype everyone, but I think it’s easier to pick on the Ay-rabs because the one stereotype that does suit them is they have no real voice in America, embrace religious extremism and no one gives a shit about, so who’s to complain.

Oh, and by the way, #Ramadan starts in a few days so why not have American Television celebrate with a racist f-ing TV Show like #Tyrant just to help people better understand the Arabs.

AND on top of it all, let’s ignore all the truly GREAT stories about American Arabs because, well, stupid f-ing Americans won’t watch good stereotypes about Ay-rabs on their boob-tubes and that means FX and #HowardGordon can’t make huge profits so like all Hollywood Moguls they can’t then go around raping women, having sex with children, covering up their Catholic Priest brothers who are pedophiles.

Hey. Why don’t we do a story about EVERYONE’S stereotypes and see how long that lasts on TV before everyone else gets upset?

The TV Show on #FX #Tyrant sucks #TyrantSUCKS #Tyrantracist. And no excuses from Howard Gordon, or FX or from any of the fans who surely will begin to build a large following for a show about an Arab tyrant whose son is a megalomaniac sadistic butcher and whose brother is now an American who happened to murder a civilian when he was a child and is escaping his nightmare childhood.

Ridiculous and gratuitous rape scenes say more about the American public than they do about Arabs. The love for violence and racism on American TV says more about Americans than it does about Arabs. TyRant says more about the moral bankruptcy of American entertainment than it does about the alleged corruption of the Arab World. And the timing of the show, coming days before Ramadan, the Islamic Muslim Holy religious month, says a lot about the hypocrisy that America represents.

F-U Hollywood and American TV. You all deserve everything that happens to you (Hollywood and American TV, of course. The rest of you are mindless, bumbed-up cows maybe?)

i know this article is old, but ive just stumbled upon it now… stopped watching this show after two episodes… i have friends of arab and middle eastern descent and found this show to be laughably misinformed and distasteful… its like it was written by someone who heard a story about someone who knew someone who knew an arab once… pitiful
