“We share Midwest Recycling’s vision in serving income eligible families and newly arrived refuges in our community”, stated Wassim Mahfouz, LAHC Executive Director. “This assistance will ensure that members of our community possess the appropriate clothing for winter. Not only will these coats provide warmth to their bodies, it is also a testament of our commitment to providing essential services to those in need” finished Mahfouz.
Moreover, Santa Claus will be on site to greet and take photos with families. Other fun activities such as face painting and arts and crafts are scheduled to take place. Additionally, we will distribute over 300 lunch boxes to all those in attendance.
“We work with many organizations and communities in Metro Detroit and collaborating is one way we are able to reach more people in need,” said Abe Hachem, CEO, Midwest Recycling. “It is a priority for our institution to help out families in need regardless of their religion, background, or ethnicity,” finished Hachem.
