100 Arab American women team up for fundraising event

Annual event to be held for the fifth year at salon and spa

When people come together to give, it makes a stronger impact. Nothing demonstrates that more than 100 Arab American Women Who Care, a one-of-a-kind event centered on philanthropy and giving back to the local community.

100 Arab American Women Who Care, organized by the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP), brings together dozens of generous women of the Arab American community who pool their money to make a larger impact to a cause that matters most to them. For its fifth year in Michigan, 100 Arab American Women Who Care will take place at the luxurious Emile Salon & Spa in Beverly Hills. The event will have beauty consultants on hand and will feature a chance for participants to win a variety of raffle prizes.

WHAT: 100 Arab American Women Who Care – Southeast Michigan
WHEN: Sunday, April 29 at noon
WHERE: Emile Salon & Spa, 31409 Southfield Rd, Beverly Hills, MI 48025

“Each year, the power and engagement generated by this event continues to exceed our expectations. Not only are we making a huge difference to worthy causes, we are showing Southeast Michigan that the Arab American community is actively involved in making our region a better place to live. We are but one hundred women, but our impact is incalculable!” said Rasha Demashkieh, CAAP Board Member and 100 Arab American Women Who Care Event Chair.

At the event, each attendee will nominate a charity of her choice. Three charities will be selected at random, and all attendees will vote on one nonprofit to receive the proceeds raised from the event. Attendees may nominate only Michigan-based nonprofit organizations holding current 501(c)3 status. At previous 100 Arab American Women Who Care events, participants raised $9,000 for Safe Harbor for Women and $10,000 for The Belinda Sue Fund for Ovarian Cancer & Research.

Tickets cost $100 per person and are fully tax-deductible. They can be purchased by clicking here.
