ADC Presents: Sept. 11, 20th Anniversary Virtual Symposium Aug 5, 12, 16, 24
It has been almost 20 years since the attacks on September 11th, 2001- a day which has affected our lives in many different ways, directly and indirectly.
Since then, there have been many changes in the ways our government conducts national and international affairs, immigration, war, government surveillance, and more.
ADC invites you to join us for a multi-paneled virtual symposium throughout the month of August and leading up to this upcoming September 11th.
The panels will discuss post September 11th national security measures, immigration, media portrayals of Arabs and Muslims, the mobilization and organizing of our community, the discrimination that ensued on our communities, and more.
Be on the lookout for more information on specific dates and names of guest speakers who will be joining us on the virtual symposium’s panels.
This symposium will be held via Zoom. Registration for the symposium is required and can be completed here.
