Two Arab-themed films featured at Israeli film Festival

31st ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL IN LOS ANGELES TO PREMIERE TWO
AWARD-WINNING FILMS FOCUSED ON ARAB THEMES:
HOLY AIR and IN BETWEEN

The 31st Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles, which runs November 5th – 21st, will host the Los Angeles premiere of Holy Air, a comedy written, directed, and starring Shady Srour as a Christian Arab man living in Nazareth—a member of a vanishing minority within a minority in the Holy Land and the Middle East and the west coast premiere of the comedic drama In Between, from Palestinian filmmaker Maysaloun Hamoud, about three ambitious, educated and sexually liberated Arab women living together in Tel Aviv.

Holy Air screens November 11th at 7:15 pm at Laemmle Ahrya Fine Arts Theatre followed by a panel discussion with its filmmaker Shady Srour and 15 leading Israeli directors, writers, producers; November 12th at 5:00 pm followed by Q & A with filmmaker Shady Srour and producer Ilan Moksovitch at the Laemmle Town Center; and November 15th at 7:15 pm followed by Q &A with Srour and Moksovitch at the Laemmle Royal Theatre.

In Between screens November 6th at 9:45 pm at the Laemmle Town Center Theatre; November 9th at 9:45 pm at the Laemmle Ahrya Fine Arts Theatre; November 12th at 5:00 pm at the Laemmle Royal Theatre; and November 18th at 9:30 pm at the Laemmle Royal Theatre.

The Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles, which runs November 5th – 21st, takes place at the Ahrya Fine Arts by Laemmle (Beverly Hills), Laemmle Royal Theater (West L.A.) and the Laemmle Town Center 5 (Encino).
