Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) Midwest Foundation Dinner March 4, 2017

13th Annual Fundraising Dinner

Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at 6:30pm

Westin Lombard, 70 Yorktown Shopping Center, Lombard, IL 60148.

SAMS is a 501(c)3 nonpolitical, nonreligious, medical and humanitarian nonprofit organization that has been in existence since 1998. SAMS represents over 1,000 physicians in the US. There are 25 active chapters all over the US with the Midwest being the first active chapter and the largest. The current president of Midwest Chapter Board is Dr. Mufaddal Hamadeh and the current Foundation President is Mrs. Nada Jabri.

After the Syrian crisis started, in 2012 SAMS launched the “Save Syrian Lives” campaign, a signature program that encompasses medical relief activities directed to help Syrian patients, healthcare workers, administrators and hospitals to deal with the multifaceted ramifications of the violence and provide lifesaving measures to all affected areas of Syria. Your donation and sponsorship will be used toward supporting field hospitals and medical personnel on the ground in Syria, as well as other important medical relief projects including our child vaccination program, dialysis project, medical trainings, psychosocial programs, dental and primary care clinics and mobile trauma facilities that support the victims, refugees, and ordinary citizens during this ongoing crisis. For more information on the work of SAMS please visit our website at www.sams‐usa.net.

The Annual Dinner is our biggest event of the year and we expect at least 300 people in attendance including many hospital administrators, media, politicians, physicians, dentists and pharmacists. In previous years we have had well‐known speakers including Senator Dick Durbin, Tammy Leitner from NBC News, Jerome McDonnell from NPR Worldview, Professor Cherif Bassiouni, Dr. Zaher Sahloul, actor Jay Abdo and singer Omar Offendum. SAMS Midwest is a volunteer‐run organization, so please rest assured that 100% of your donation will go to support the humanitarian mission of SAMS and is tax‐deductible. We are looking forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

SAMS Midwest Board and Foundation

Dr. Mufaddal Hamadeh – SAMS Midwest Board President

Mrs. Nada Jabri – SAMS Midwest Foundation President
