Born in Aleppo, Syria and raised in New York, Salma moved to central Florida in 2002, where she is currently based. She obtained her M.A. degree in Journalism in 2008 from the University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom. In 2012, she went on to obtain her M.B.A. from Florida Southern College, from where she also had received her Bachelors in News Media Communications, back in 2006.
